It's official! Usher is set to be the headline performer for the 2024 Super Bowl, an announcement that has left the Atlanta icon thrilled and honored.

In a statement, Usher shared his excitement: “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Seth Dudowsky, the head of music for the NFL, expressed their enthusiasm for Usher headlining the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show: “Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. We look forward to working with Usher, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another Halftime Show for the history books.”

This will mark the fifth year that Roc Nation produces the halftime show. They have curated memorable performances in the past, including Shakira and Jennifer Lopez in 2020, The Weeknd in 2021, a hip-hop showcase anchored by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar in 2022, and Rihanna – reportedly the most-watched halftime show of all time – in 2023.

Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports and Beats, also expressed excitement about the event: “The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the most highly anticipated music events of the year and we’re excited to bring this legendary show to fans all over the world in Spatial Audio, along with tons of exclusive videos, interviews, playlists, and so much more across Apple Music.”

The Super Bowl Halftime Show will serve as a magnificent culmination of a remarkable year for Usher. He's currently headlining the popular “My Way: The Las Vegas Residency,” which has been extended to December. Furthermore, the singer is kicking off a two-week, four-show stint in Paris with Rendez-Vous à Paris on Sunday (Sept. 24). The anticipation for his Halftime Show performance is building, promising an extraordinary showcase from one of the world’s greatest performers.
