The German sportswear brand began its partnership with Kanye West in 2013.

Adidas has officially decided to cut business ties with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) after nearly a decade-long partnership. According to TMZ, the German sportswear company has decided to part ways in response to the billionaire rapper and designer’s recent antisemitic comments. "Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness," Adidas wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

The brand continued,  “After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. adidas will stop the adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect." The Yeezy x Adidas severance comes weeks after Ye debuted "White Lives Matter" t-shirts during Paris Fashion Week. Balenciaga and Vogue have also publicly discontinued their relationships with Ye.
