Kaizer Chiefs have announced that they have permanently parted ways with three of their former academy players.

Itumeleng Shopane, Sizwe Twala and Ayanda Rorwana are the three players Amakhosi have decided to let go. The trio were developed at Chiefs, and they were promoted to the first team a few years ago only to be sent out on loan. Shopane played for a number of GladAfrica Championship teams, including Swallows FC and Cape Town All Stars. Rorwana and Twala were also once on the books of Swallows but the pair never did enough to earn permanent deals at the Soweto-based club.

Last season, the trio were nowhere to be seen in football, and even former Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt admitted to never seeing them at Naturena. They can now look to restart their careers elsewhere after being handed their clearances by the Glamour Boys.
