Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira joins Siya Kolisi in Jay Z’s Roc Nation stable

Former Springbok Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira has become the latest South African rugby player to join the growing stable of rapper Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Roc Nation aims to “elevate athletes’ careers on and off the field, including endorsement deals, philanthropic endeavors, media relations and brand strategy.” Beast Mtawarira retired from rugby after the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan having played 117 Tests in the green and gold. He joins current Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and current Springbok highlight reel Cheslin Kolbe as Roc Nation clients. Mtawarira, now 35, took to social media to write, “Wow Super excited to be a part of @RocNationSports. Can’t wait to do big things with the Roc family @RocNation“. Roc Nation also announced Beast Mtawarira as the newest member of their family.
