DJ Black Coffee to sell properties to pay off R40 million in tax

It seems the problems just keep piling on for Black Coffee real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, this time it's not Enhle Mbali that's after him but the dreaded taxman, that's all kinds of stressful.

According to City Press, the internationally-acclaimed DJ is being taken to court by the South African Revenue Services (SARS). The music producer reportedly owes R40 million to SARS in income tax arrears.

 

DJ Black Coffee, however, negotiated to pay R8 million after he declared his current financial position. He reportedly said that he was unable to pay the R40 million due. Black Coffee allegedly owes SARS R40 million in unpaid tax.

 

The DJ is reportedly going to sell some of his properties to pay off the debt. This is sure to put a dent in his portfolio. Briefly.co.za previously reported that DJ Black Coffee and Enhle Mbali's divorce became public knowledge last year. The pair have been negotiating the terms of their separation but talks have reportedly hit a dead end. The standstill is allegedly due to Enhle's demands. It is reported that the actress is demanding Black Coffee pay R4 million worth of legal fees. In addition, she wants over R100 000 in child support and additional payment for her medical expenses.
