Losing Lerato gets another international film award in the UK

Losing Lerato, a local South African film has once again bagged another international prize. The film has brought in millions at the box office and the quality of the film has once again been reaffirmed with the Best Screenplay at Rams International Festival in the United Kingdom.

The movie is an amazing success and all thanks to actor Kagiso Modupe who funded the production from his own pocket. Briefly.co.za learned that the film has been praised for its authentic nature and fantastic story which tells the story of a successful father who loses visiting rights to his child after getting divorced.

Out of fear and frustration, he kidnaps his daughter according to ZAlebs. The film was nominated for 6 awards at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in California. Despite the pandemic, the cast travelled to California and it was worth it as the scooped all 6 awards.
