The South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) nominee is now poised to make a compelling mark in the new season of Showmax’s popular drama series, Adulting. Set to premiere on 4 December with subsequent episodes every Monday, Adulting Season 2 features Thembi Seete in the role of Portia, a middle-aged, affluent housewife navigating the complexities of her desires.

In a recent interview, the 46-year-old actress provided insights into her character, describing Portia as a dedicated housewife deeply in love with her family. However, the narrative takes an intriguing turn as Portia, realizing the absence of certain emotional elements in her life, embarks on a journey to seize control of her happiness and needs. Thembi Seete delves into the nuances of her character, highlighting Portia's resilience and determination to fulfill her desires, even if it means paying for and relishing the experience.

Intriguingly, Seete finds parallels between herself and Portia, emphasizing the character's sexiness, boldness, and determination. The actress welcomes the opportunity to surprise herself and challenge preconceived notions, urging a more open dialogue about sexuality that goes beyond societal constraints inherited from previous generations.
