Fetty Wap acknowledged his choices, emphasizing that no one compelled him but himself. Reflecting on the circumstances that led to his imprisonment, he explained, “When I put myself in that situation, I ain’t really think for the long run. I’m thinking I could just run up a few million dollars, and I’m gon’ be good forever.” The rapper admitted that, instead of pushing harder in his music career when faced with challenges, he took a different path, stating, “Instead of pursuing my career harder or going harder to make people listen, I was a coward… and I was just like, ‘I can’t let my family down.’”

Despite the setbacks, Fetty Wap remains steadfast in his commitment to providing for his family. He expressed confidence in taking care of them even while behind bars, ensuring they are supported. The rapper clarified that, although certain aspects of his life may have paused, his dedication to family remains unwavering. He affirmed, “I tell people all the time I’m in jail. I’m locked up, but I’m not f****d up. I’m takin’ care of my whole family from jail still. That s**t don’t stop. I mean, what I was doing stopped. Let me clear that up. But as far as takin’ care of my family, I found different outlets in here. Different people that helped me.”

Moreover, Fetty Wap shared valuable lessons he received during his time in prison, notably from rapper 50 Cent. He explained how 50 Cent provided insights into diversifying income streams, offering guidance beyond the realm of music.

In a cautionary tone, Fetty Wap warned fans against making the same mistakes he did, stressing the importance of facing challenges head-on rather than taking shortcuts.
