In his Entertainment Tonight interview, Combs highlighted the enduring impact of "Fast Car" on his life, recalling its connection to moments with his father and expressing his intention to pass it down to his son.

Tracy Chapman, originally from Cleveland, boasts a repertoire of hits like "Give Me One Reason," "Baby Can I Hold You," and "Crossroads." Nominated for 13 Grammys, she has won four, including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Fast Car" in 1988.
