"In a tragic incident in Osindisweni, KZN, a Phoenix resident took his own life, and a suicide note was found alongside his body inside a vehicle. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) swiftly responded to a distress call from a concerned farmer around 08:03.

RUSA dispatched their dedicated Reaction Officers and Paramedics to the scene, where they met the informant on a gravel road. The site was located approximately 500 meters off-road, deep within an isolated area on a sugar cane farm. There, they discovered the lifeless body of a man, suspended from a tree. His grey Renault Kiger was parked nearby, and a suicide note was written on a receipt that provided information about his spouse, including a contact number and address.

Following this tragic discovery, Reaction Officers reached out to the deceased's partner, who explained that he had left their home the previous Saturday and never returned. The receipt for the rope used in the suicide bore the same date. The motive behind this devastating act remains uncertain."
