Live Nation recently revealed that comedian Chris Tucker is set to embark on a multi-city stand-up comedy tour, marking his return to the stage after a hiatus of over 10 years. This tour comes as his first since his last one in 2011.

The "Legends Tour" is set to sweep through 30 cities, commencing on September 8 in North Carolina. This tour will visit various cities including Memphis, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Houston, and New York, and will continue until January 2024. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase through Ticketmaster starting Friday, August 11.

Chris Tucker expressed his enthusiasm for returning to his stand-up comedy roots, stating that his comedy club beginnings were instrumental in shaping his career for his subsequent roles in movies. He's excited to connect with live audiences and create laughter once again.

Tucker initially made his mark in the 90s, performing in comedy clubs and appearing on HBO's Def Comedy Jam. He gained prominence through his role in the 1995 comedy classic "Friday," alongside actors like Ice Cube, John Witherspoon, Nia Long, and Regina King. He further solidified his career with roles in films like "The Fifth Element," "Jackie Brown," "Dead Presidents," and "Money Talks."

One of his most notable contributions was starring alongside Jackie Chan in the "Rush Hour" film series. There have been rumors about a potential fourth installment of the franchise, and Tucker has indicated that this project is on his radar.

In 2015, Tucker showcased his comedic talent with his first Netflix stand-up special, "Chris Tucker Live," which was filmed in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

More recently, Tucker appeared in the biographical sports drama "Air," which premiered in April. He shared the screen with notable actors such as Viola Davis, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, and Ben Affleck, who also directed the film.
