The incident reportedly happened on Monday, 26 September 2022 and police were reportedly called to the scene by community members at about 23:00. Limpopo police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said upon arrival to the scene, they discovered three lifeless bodies of two females and a male with gunshot wounds. The suspect was later traced and arrested.
Mojapelo said the deceased were identified as Themina Clara Morema aged 42, her daughter Nomasonto Morema aged 24 and the man’s identity is still unknown. “The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage but domestic violence cannot be ruled out. Police have opened three counts of murder.” The 58-year-old man is expected to appear in the Praktiseer Magistrates Court on Wednesday 28 September 2022.
