Former Rhythm City actor and kwaito star Brian “Bruno” Majola has passed away at the age of 36. According to Drum, Bruno died on Monday 15 August and his cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

The entertainer has also acted on e.tv’s Ekasi: Our Stories and is best known for his work in Gumshev, a kwaito duo he formed with Fistos. The two produced the hit tracks Hosh, Temptations and Matha. Bruno’s death comes a day after kwaito legend and TKZee member Tokollo “Magesh” Tshabalala’s passing. A relative confirmed Brian “Bruno” Majola’s death to Drum. The kwaito star reportedly passed away on 15 August at about 18:00. His cause of death has not been confirmed by the Majola family. “I am not okay at all.

I need to meet up with the family in order for us to put a statement together and send all the necessary information, but I can confirm that he has passed on,” said the relative. One of Bruno’s friends, Pardon Makamu, told the publication that he heard the news shortly after his death. “I haven’t gotten the full details of what happened,” Makamu, however, said.
