Kanye West is being sued by a former production company that alleged that the legendary rapper/producer owes the organization millions in unpaid services. Now, it demands more than $7 million in redress. Per TMZ, Phantom Labs filed a lawsuit against the 24-time Grammy Award-winner regarding various large projects with Ye between June 2021 to March 2022. The company noted that they worked on four weeks of Sunday Service, a listening event for Donda 2, the Free Larry Hoover show with Drake and his 2022 Coachella performance that was subsequently canceled.

Phantom Labs attorney Howard King told TMZ that initially, Ye was making regular payments. Still, he eventually started ghosting the production team racking up millions in debt — including $1.1 million in Coachella-related cancellation fees that they wanted the rapper to pay along with the $6 million bill he left behind. The $7.1 million ask is for breach of contract and other expenses. Many of Ye’s most recent events have been last minute, and Phantom Labs founder and creative director Gabe Fraboni talked to Complex last year about the Free Larry Hoover show, saying, “Everything that Ye does, it’s as big and as far as you can take an idea,” he explains. “That’s one of the more exciting aspects of working with him. It continuously evolved. Literally, right up until the night before the show, it was evolving.”
