Zendaya Wins Best Actress Award for ‘Euphoria’

The ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ star was honored for her critically acclaimed performances.

Euphoria star Zendaya was honored with the award for Best Actress at the 2022 BET Awards — The Culture’s Biggest Night. Zendaya won in a packed category that featured Aunjanue Ellis for King Richard, Coco Jones of the Peacock drama — Bel Air, Issa Rae— creator and star of Insecure which ended this year after five seasons, Mary J. Blige for Power Book II: Ghost, as well as Jennifer Hudson for Respect, Queen Latifah for The Equalizer, Regina King for The Harder They Fall and Quinta Brunson—creator and star of Abbott Elementary.

 

The 25-year-old starlet was honored not just for her Emmy-winning performance as Rue Bennett on Euphoria, but also for her turn in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The award was presented by Paula Patton — star of the BET series, Sacrifice. Patton accepted the award on Zendaya’s behalf in her absence.
