Orlando Pirates suspends Zungu following his arrest

Orlando Pirates club is refusing to say why the player was arrested or what charges have been laid against him.

The 26-year-old has made only one appearance for Pirates this season in the DStv Premiership. Zungu has been with the club for over two seasons after moving from Stellenbosch in January 2020. The player is yet to reach his potential at Pirates despite earlier expectations. Zungu has been missing in action for the Buccaneers in 2022 and on Sunday evening, the club confirmed rather shocking news! Hours after Orlando Pirates’ 3-0 victory over Eswatini’s Royal Leopards, the club that the midfielder was ‘charged’ at the Moffatview Police Station.

 

The Buccaneers took to social media to confirm the immediate suspension of Nkanyiso Zungu.
