According to VIBE, the “coming-of-age movie musical” titled Brotherly will follow a group of men who return to West Philadelphia for their 20-year high school reunion to find hope, redemption, and a newfound understanding of friendship. Current members of the group Nathan Morris, Wayna Morris and Shawn Stockman are credited as executive producers. Lee is the mastermind behind The Best Man franchise, Roll Bounce, and Space Jam: A New Legacy.

He will bring his producing talents to Brotherly alongside Amazon Studios. Brotherly is written by Marcus Gardley, who is also behind The Color Purple movie-musical adaption, which is directed by Blitz Bazawule, and What’s Going On, the upcoming Marvin Gaye biopic. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Boyz II Men's chart-topping hit, "Motownphilly," and the duo of Wanyá and Shawn recently sang on Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Diff'rent Strokes episode on ABC.
