Last week, Samkelo Ndlovu announced her exit from Rhythm City on social media. She gave a brief back story regarding her resignation. Amo, on the other hand, has maintained her silence throughout. Samkelo Ndlovu played Lerato for the past seven years, said that her departure from the show was a mutual agreement between her and the bosses of the show.
eTV's Head of Local Productions, Ziyanda Mngomezulu confirmed Amo Chidi's departure from the station: ''On behalf of the Rhythm City team, we would like to wish and Samkelo Amo all the best for their future. We will value their personification of the roles they played on the show and thank them for their dedication to entertaining the audiences. Thank you for being a part of the eFamily.''
Amo Chidi's resignation also comes after another cast member Jamie Bartlett, who played David Jenaro who has resigned after being a part of the show since its inception.
