According to Forbes the 23-year-old American media personality, socialite, model, and businesswoman topped the list of highest-paid celebrities with a whopping $590 million (R8 816 497 310) earned last year.

It is said that Kylie received bulk of the earnings from the sale of 51% of her Kylie Cosmetics company to the publicly-trade Coty. “While she had exaggerated over the years about the size of her business, the money she pulled in from the deal was real, enough to rank as one of the biggest celebrity cashouts of all time,” reported the American business publication.

The list shows that the world’s highest-paid celebrities earned a combined $6.1 billion before taxes and fees, a $200 million drop from 2019. Kylies’s earnings were followed by her brother-in-law Kanye West. Kim Kardashian’s husband netted $170 million this year. Other stars who made it to the list included Roger Federer with $106m, Cristiano Ronaldo $105m and Lionel Messi $104m. Meanwhile, three streaming giants doled out $300 million to stars on the list, including Ryan Reynolds (No. 18, $71.5 million), Billie Eilish (No. 43, $53 million) and Jerry Seinfeld (No. 46, $51 million), with Netflix paying out more than two thirds of that.

Director Tyler Perry ($97 million), Neymar ($95.5 million), world’s highest-paid radio host Howard Stern ($90 million) and Four-time NBA MVP LeBron James ($88.2 million) came in sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth on the list respectively. Number ten was none other than Dwayne Johnson, better known as ‘The Rock’ and who is the world’s highest-paid actor thanks to big paydays for forthcoming films Black Adam and Red Notice.

In 2019 it was reported that Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire in history. She actually got her first billion two years younger than Mark Zuckerberg. “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” Kylie said at the time. “But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
