21 Savage continues his plan to share knowledge with the youth about finance.

21 Savage and his Leading By Example Foundation have partnered again with the financial tech company Chime to bring back their virtual Bank Account Financial Literacy Campaign in efforts to educate students grades 9-12 across the country about how crucial financial literacy is to attaining success. First launched in 2018, the “Bank Account” rapper decided to take the initiative online in October of 2020 after the pandemic struck, calling it Bank Account at Home. The now virtual experience offers a six-course online program and plans on giving 100 $1,000 scholarships to high schoolers in the U.S. who complete the program.

In the campaign’s new video, 21 narrates his own story. “Growing up in Atlanta, the hustling energy just rub off on you,” 21 says in the promo. “Financial literacy is important because that’s one of the main things that you need to operate and be successful as an adult. I just wanted to come up with something that could help kids have some understanding of what to do with that money.”

This is not the first time 21 has shown his philanthropic side. Just this month, also working with Chime, 21 unveiled a new basketball court in his home in Atlanta at Parkway-Wabash Park. “Basketball created space for me in my childhood to compete, learn comradery, and simply escape the challenges of everyday life,” explained 21 Savage. “I am hoping this court will allow kids in Zone 6 to do the same. When I started my foundation, ‘Leading by Example,’ I was determined to remove barriers for the next generation of Atlanta because my success is shared with my community who consistently support and inspire me.”
